In this course I worked with a team of School Leadership Residents and HTH Teachers to design an interdisciplinary project titled Beyond the Folds
This project was designed for and completed by a team of 7th grade students at High Tech Middle Media Arts (HTMMA), with the help of 11th grade students at High Tech High Media Arts (HTHMA). The main purposes for this project included:
Applying mathematical principles of geometry (including ratios and proportions) to the art of paper folding.
Examining human rights violations around the world and educating others through a personal narrative and world map display.
Collaborating with 11th grade students to design, create, and critique the final products.
